As a “faith-filled mother,” this book could not be a more perfect fit for my first book review on the blog! My son is finally at the age where he will actually sit and enjoy books, whether he wants to “read” them by himself, or let mommy and daddy read to him.
Starting at a young age, we desire to instill in our children that God is real, He loves us, and He has purpose for our lives. When God Made You by Matthew Paul Turner is a book that assists us as parents in teaching all of those truths.
Throughout the book, the reader is reminded that God want us to be who He created us to be. The sweet rhymes, the beautiful illustrations by David Catrow, and the bright colors are sure to engage children as they learn about How did God “rest” and how awesome our God is!
As a counselor that often works with children, I believe it is such a desperate need in our world that we build a solid foundation of truth for our children. This truth should surround the fact that we are each unique, strong, and above all, loved by our creator.
I highly recommend snagging this book for your kiddos, nieces/nephews, students, church, and friends! It was just released on February 28. You can find it on Amazon here. I look forward to reviewing more new releases for you all!
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, but I was provided a free book through the Blogging for Books program in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own. I am also an Amazon affiliate, and will receive a small commission if the Amazon link on this page is used to make your purchase.

Berklee, Thanks for making this book as one of your recommended reads. I volunteer as a Sunday School teacher and occasionally I will read a book to the children to settle them down and to teach them some spiritual truth that comes from other sources to align with their lessons from the Bible. I look forward to seeing your other suggestions!
